REEFWALKER NEWS LETTER ~ FEBRUARY/MARCH 2011

FISHING:

The fishing has been amazing with some record catches! Plenty of Mackies and Tuna...good sizes in both species.
At one point there were so many Mackies swimming around the boat that we threw in a handline with a lure and were catching them like that...NEVER BEEN DONE IN 18 YEARS RUNNING OUR BUSINESS!!!!

Other species have been going off equally,lots of Dhufish, Pink Snapper, Baldchin Groper and the odd Cobia.
Febuary and March....THE FISH WERE HUNGRY!!! WHERE WERE YOU???????

MARINE LIFE:

We have seen quite a few Whalesharks along the coast,mostly juveniles. What an amazing creature!
Hopefully they'll come and hang out around Kalbarri more often then we could organise "swimming with Whalesharks" in Kalbarri!
We would have to look out though for the Kalbarri catshark....FEROCIOUS CREATURE!!!

A RARE EVENT IN KALBARRI! Thanks to Cyclone Bianca we were blessed with 2 days of amazing waves that had the surfing community frothing!!!

The latest edition to REEFWALKER ADVENTURE TOURS is our courtesy bus!
This is what we call "mutton dressed up as lamb"...an oldie but a goodie!
From now on we'll pick you up and drop you back off at wherever you want...accommodation, bottleshop...you name it.
