REEFWALKER NEWS LETTER ~ DECEMBER 2009/ JANUARY 2010
FISHING:
December started off with a bang !!!
With the fishing ban lifted we were more then keen to get us some fish for dinner.
If it wasn't blowing we headed out there and got some good fish, quite a few Pinkies and Coral Trout about, the Dhufish were out in numbers and as you
can see from the photos there were some good sized ones! Samson fish a plenty.
Chris and Ronan were stoked with their simultaneous catch of 2 large Mulloways and if the others wouldn't have let us down we would have caught a lot more!!
I take my hat of to Chris ...never knew a kid could deliver that much "berley"...GOOD ON YOU, CHRIS!!
One morning a very strange and thick cloud developed on the horizon and within half an hour the ocean and the whole of Kalbarri was covered in mist,
we were fishing about 1 mile of the coast and couldn't even make out the shoreline. I added a picture of how it started.

3 IN 1 ECO TOUR:
This tour is new for us but has been received really well.
We've been going out early morning and emptying the craypots which in December were just packed! Some days we got 30 size!!!!!....we can only keep 12
but at least we knew they'd be definitely in there the next day. I've eaten that many crays that I now am allergic to them...lucky for our guests..
.MORE FOR THEM! After that we carried on along the cliffs to see the local bottlenose dolphins. All I can say is:WHY GO TO MONKEY MIA????????????
Our dolphin friends didn't let us down once and showed up every day letting us share in their daily activities, whether it was hunting for fish,
jumping through the waves, surfing or just gently cruising with their young.

SUNSET CRUISE:
Always a great tour...there have been again some amazing sunsets and an amazing array of guests.
The star attraction on this tour has been proven to be "Johnny Cockroach", just as the dolphins he never lets us down and entertains our guest with his very
peculiar surf move, which is surfing the wave lying on his back mimicking a dying cockroach, thereafter he will do a one legged curtsy all
the while still surfing the same wave. He always gets a standing ovation !!!
I have added a picture of Rob trying to copy the move but you just have to come and see for yourself!!!!!!
